TV Times top picks for today

What’s on telly tonight? Here the TV Times team of expert reviewers highlight the best shows on Thursday 11th October

Press, 9pm, BBC1 - last episode of series

The drama ramps up as newspaper editor Duncan’s personal and private lives collide. Things get nasty when his bitter wife Sarah, now loved up with smarmy US billionaire Max, bans him from seeing their child. Meanwhile, rival hack Holly is also out to make Duncan sweat by exposing his liaison with a prostitute and splashing it on The Herald’s front page. A perfect performance by Ben Chaplin as the cold-eyed Duncan finds himself forced to sink or swim. Rating: ****

Body Clock: What Makes Us Tick?, 9pm, BBC2

Scientist Ella Al-Shamahi locks volunteer Aldo Kane, a former commando and all-round tough guy, in an abandoned nuclear bunker. He’s completely alone, with no natural light or devices that tell the time. The aim is to study Aldo’s internal body clock. With no idea what time it really is, how will his body react? Ella also studies two couples who are struggling with their sleep patterns. Can she use the latest scientific research and information about their individual body clocks to improve their lives? An incredibly interesting experiment, but poor Aldo – 10 days in a dark bunker is no fun. Rating: ***
