Silent Witness, 9 pm, BBC One
With the perilous journeys of migrants and new Government deterrents hitting the headlines on a regular basis, this week’s timely two–part Silent Witness case delves into the murky world of illegal immigration. When an abandoned lorry is found in a quarry, full of the dead and dying, it all points to a people-trafficking operation. With the survivors unwilling to talk, Nikki (Emilia Fox) and the team must utilise their forensic and pathological skills to identify the deceased, and piece together what caused the tragedy. And as the case unfolds, it turns out to be not as straightforward as it first appeared. Continues tomorrow. ★★★ IM
George Clarke's Amazing Spaces, 8 pm, Channel 4, All4 (box set)
George kicks off this 11th (yes, really!) series with a trip down memory lane as he embarks on one of his most personal builds – an Arts and Crafts caravan to replace the static caravan he built for his family in the first series in 2012. He also visits a carpenter who’s trying to save a boat from the breaker’s yard and a woman who wants to turn a vintage caravan into a vegan cafe. Travel-wise, George is in the ancient city of Jaffa in Israel, checking out the land of architectural contrasts courtesy of a stunning modern apartment carved out of three centuries-old rooms. ★★★★ RF
Red Riding Hood: After Ever After, NOW
If you missed David Walliams’ Little Red Riding Hood sequel when it was shown over the Christmas period, catch up on Now. Fifty years have passed and Red (Samantha Bond) is now a fearsome ‘Wolf Buster’ in the village of Wolferton, where her granddaughter, Red Riding Boots (Luciana Akpobaro), is keen to follow in her footsteps. But when German tourists Helga and Otto turn up hoping to see a real-life wolf, Boots ventures into the deep, dark forest to hunt one down, only to discover that Mother Nature isn’t happy. Can Boots save wolves from extinction instead? Look out for Britain’s Got Talent stand-up star Jack Carroll among the carnival cast. ★★★★ RM
Changing Rooms Australia, 8 pm, W
Neighbours star Natalie Bassingthwaighte is hosting the Australian version of Changing Rooms, overseeing as family homes are transformed by spectacular design ideas. She is joined by a group of designers, stylists and renovation experts – Chris Carroll, Naomi Findlay, Tim Leveson and Jane Thomson – and each episode sees two of the designers go head-to-head as they race to finish six rooms, beginning with couple Adam and Renee who want their bar overhauled. Natalie should be well-prepared for the gig as she completed an interior-design course during lockdown and says she’s ‘obsessed’ with renovation shows. ★★★ NH

An atmospheric supernatural thriller starring Line of Duty’s Martin Compston, Mark Bonnar and Iain Glen. The crew of the Kinloch Bravo rig are ready for danger, but not for the terrifying, unexplained events that start to unfold after a sudden power failure. As the rig is shaken by massive tremors, all communication to the outside world is lost and a mysterious thick fog rolls in. Then one of the crew is badly injured in an accident while other disturbing occurrences quickly follow…. JE
Best film on TV tonight
Gran Torino, 9 pm, ITV4
Clint Eastwood directs and stars in this 2008 drama about newly widowed, cantankerous Polish-American Walt, who laments that everything is changing in his Michigan neighbourhood. When a teenager (Bee Vang) from next door breaks into his garage to steal his treasured 1972 Gran Torino, it prompts an increasingly funny and touching series of events that lead Walt to rethink his stance on family, his Korean War service, his racism and his life and impending death. Directed with Eastwood’s customary flair, this will stay with you long after the credits roll.
