Why isn't Neighbours on today? Here is when our next visit to Ramsay Street airs

Neighbours

Neighbours is now running a reduced schedule...

Neighbours fans will find they have got to wait a little longer for their next fix of Australian soap drama after the show has been put on a reduced schedule following the coronavirus outbreak.

As with all of our favourite soaps, there has been a shake up in when they are being shown on TV as filming is thrown into chaos following government advice to stay at home.

With the future so uncertain, Neighbours bosses made the decision to reduce the number of episodes aired each week to make sure we can continue to enjoy the show on screen for as long as possible.

Neighbours is now being shown Mondays and Fridays, instead of the usual five days a week it is usually on.

In an official statement from Channel 5 a spokesperson announced: "As a result of Covid-19, we have taken the decision to reduce the number of episodes for Neighbours and Home and Away from five to two per week for both soaps."

All other soaps have made amendments to their scheduling for the same reason.

Yesterday's Neighbours was packed full of drama as everyone continued to struggle with the fall out from Finn Kelly's reign of terror.

As Kyle Canning faced going back to work at the 82 tram after his dad Gary's untimely death, he was left pleasantly surprised when his friends and neighbours joined forces to make his first day back more bearable.

Surprisingly it was Paul Robinson who got Pierce, Dipi and Chloe together to help open the tram after Kyle dreaded going back to the restaurant that he ran with his dad.

Sky Neighbours

But Kyle wasn't the only one struggling.

Shane was also at a loss over how to help Dipi as she mourned her friend, while David continued to question his ability as a doctor after failing to see the signs that Finn was turning evil again.

Meanwhile, Mark continued to fight to prove Elly's innocence as the evidence continues to stack up against her, but will Sky realise that Finn's death wasn't murder?

Yashvi also got involved with the police investigation, but will she end up unearthing existence that could prove Elly's innocence?

The next instalment of Neighbours can be seen on Good Friday (10th April), with Chloe suggesting to Elly that she watches Finn's video diaries.

But will she make Elly feel better? Or is Chloe about to make things a whole lot worse?

Neighbours will temporarily air a reduced schedule of two episodes a week. Watch on Mondays and Fridays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
