The ITV singing competition is now in its sixth week of live shows, and just seven acts remain after girl group Four Of Diamonds were eliminated last weekend.

Rapper Honey G will be tackling the hit song famous for its appearance in 1977 film Saturday Night Fever, but it is likely she will do a rendition of electronic music group N-Trance’s 1995 reworking of the track.

Her fellow Overs contestant Saara Aalto will perform No More Tears (Enough Is Enough), by Barbra Streisand and Donna Summer.

The two remaining Girls acts – Emily Middlemas and Sam Lavery – will sing Wishing On A Star, by Rose Royce, and ultimate disco classic hit I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor, respectively.

Ryan Lawrie of the Boys will perform Wild Cherry’s Play That Funky Music, and Matt Terry is taking on The Emotions’ Best Of My Love.

Group 5 After Midnight, the last remaining act in Louis Walsh’s category, are set to perform Boogie Wonderland by Earth, Wind & Fire.

Honey G has become the most talked-about contestant in the current series of Simon Cowell’s ITV talent programme, with many accusing her of being a novelty act.

Singer Lily Allen is one of the more prominent detractors of Honey G, having recently described her as “offensive”.

However, bookmakers have been slashing their odds of the rapper – real name Anna Georgette Gilford – coming third, or even winning the show.

William Hill has put her at 11-2 odds on being the third favourite to win, and Coral has dropped odds from 100-1 to 10-1 on her being named champion.

Last weekend, Simon Cowell praised her as “fun and believable” after she took to the stage to perform Kris Kross hit Jump.

The X Factor returns on Saturday night at 8pm on ITV.
