Ant and Dec revealed Paul Potts was their choice for the stand-out moment of Britain's Got Talent because it was the moment they realised the format worked and they had a hit show ont heir hands.
Dec Donnelly told What's on TV at the BGT launch in central London today: "Looking back over the 10 years, you automatically go back to some of the early auditions. especially that first Paul Potts audition when he sang Nessun Dorma and none of us really had the greatest of hopes for him and then that voice came out... and I think that's when we really knew we had a show on our hands, we had a hit show.
"I think that's the stand-out moment because that's when we knew the show was going to work."
Ant and Dec spoke about the 10-year contract for BGT and whether or not they'll be back for a series 11 in 2017.
Ant McPartlin said: "We don't know. This is our last year of hosting the show. We love doing it, there's no reason why we shouldn't be. Let's just enjoy series 10."
Ant added: "If we're asked, our contracts are up after this one, we'll see what happens later in the year."
