A week after winning Britain’s Got Talent, classical boy band Collabro are now tipped for super-stardom after landing the record deal with Simon Cowell's prestigious Syco Music/Sony Music record label.

And there's no time for sitting back and taking it easy for Richard, Jamie, Matt, Thomas and Michael, who have been on a major whirlwind of press and promo stops since their triumph in the contest, reports the Mirror.

The record deal is the icing on the cake for the talented group. Jamie said: “Signing to Syco is the most incredible feeling. We are so lucky and proud to join a family of amazing, talented artists and colleagues and we are thrilled to be working with Syco in order to take Collabro to the next level.”

Speaking of the signing, Simon said: “Collabro were worthy winners of Britain's Got Talent. I am delighted to welcome them to Syco, and am looking forward to them starting work on their debut album."

Their first album is expected to be completed in the coming weeks and a release date of 14 July has been earmarked.

As Britain's Got Talent winners they also get £250,000 and a slot on the Royal Variety Performance later in the year.
