Britain's Got Talent: Escala, Nemesis reach final

Electronic string quartet Escala and dance troupe Nemesis have become the last two acts to reach the Britain's Got Talent final. Escala - consisting of four girls who play jazzed-up versions of classical tunes and pop hits - sailed through to the final after wowing the judges with their interpretation of the Bond theme Live And Let Die. And Piers Morgan hinted that the four-piece would be among the strongest candidates to win Saturday's final. Nemesis won the judges' vote over comedy impressionist Craig Harper, who impressed the panel and the audience with his impressions of Shirley Bassey and Enrique Iglesias. Piers voted to save Nemesis and Amanda voted for Craig, leaving Simon with the casting vote - and he admitted he had a difficult decision on his hands. "I think in light of all the bad press young people have been having in this country at the moment I think you are an incredible example," Simon said of Nemesis. "On the other hand I have Craig who is literally in the last chance saloon. So I have to decide whether to vote with my heart or my head," he concluded, before opting for Nemesis. The two winners go through to Saturday's final and join the eight acts who have already qualified from this week's semi-finals.
