Sexy string quartet Escala have likened themselves to Susan Boyle - saying they were initially judged on their looks at their first audition for Britain's Got Talent. Just as many immediately wrote off singer Susan, with her frizzy hair and frumpy clothes, the group feared they wouldn't be judged on their talent when they auditioned for the ITV1 show last year wearing sexy outfits. Izzy Johnston told whatsontv.co.uk: "When I watched the Susan Boyle clip I felt it was quite sad that somebody with a raw talent had never had the opportunity to fulfil that just because of the way she looks. "Similarly, because we were on stage in short skirts people don't think we'll be good at something." Escala bandmate Chantal Leverton added: "You can't really win." Escala's self-titled debut album is out on Monday, May 25. CLICK below to watch Escala talking about their similarities to Susan Boyle
