Singer Shaheen Jafargholi and dance duo Stavros Flatley made the Britain's Got Talent final after Tuesday night's semi-final on ITV1. Father and son duo Stavros Flatley - aka Demetrios and Lagi Demetriou - went straight through on the public vote following a hilarious Greek party dance, which judge Simon Cowell described as 'rubbish but brilliant'. Twelve-year-old Shaheen, from Swansea, and Liverpool dance troupe MD Showgroup were runners-up in the public vote and although Simon immediately opted to save the dancers, fellow judges Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan agreed on putting Shaheen through to Saturday's final. Earlier, Piers had described Shaheen's powerhouse rendition of And I Am Telling You, from the film Dreamgirls, as "the best singing performance we have heard in the semi-finals so far". As usual, there were plenty of variety acts on offer including human saxophone Kay Oresanya, acrobatic farming trio The Barrow Boys and singer-cum-flower arranging duo Floral Highnotes, which Amanda described as a 'bonkers partnership'. The next semi-final can be seen on Thursday night at 8.30pm on ITV1.
