Here's everything you need to know about Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon, including her phobia...

She’s only been on Coronation Street since 2015, but there’s no denying that lovely Lucy Fallon has packed a lot into such a short time at the show. Her on-screen alter ego Bethany Platt has been at the centre of some of the soap’s most harrowing storylines of late, but we’ve done some digging to find out what makes the actress behind the drama tick…

 1. She’s a proud Northerner

The actress told amagazine.co.uk: “It means a lot to me to be from the North. I’m really proud of being from up North. I think everybody seems to be really friendly here, and I like it because I live by the sea which I think is quite a rare thing. I don’t think I could live anywhere else. I’m Blackpool born and bred and proud!”

2. Her dream role would be Evita

While she might be living her best life in Coronation Street right now, that doesn’t mean Lucy doesn’t still have dreams she would like to fulfil. The actress has admitted that her most coveted role would be the lead role in Evita, so maybe one day we might see her trending the boards in London’s West End.

3. Lucy has a man in her life...

She is loved up with real-life boyfriend, Tom Leech. When they celebrated their two year anniversary earlier this year, Lucy wrote on Instagram: "2 years deep... how lucky am I?" Bless.

4. She loves a bath to relax

After a long day filming in Manchester, Lucy loves nothing more than to get home and have a really hot bath. But, don’t go thinking that any old bubble bath will do, Lucy is a huge fan of Lush bath bombs, and she says no bath is complete without one.

5. She’s a proud aunty

When she’s not filming at Coronation Street, Lucy adores spending time with her family, especially her two young nephews (perhaps she could take them to see Mickey Mouse!). She recently told us: “I am very close to my family. My sister has two little boys and I love being an auntie, but I’m very close to my aunties, uncles and cousins, too.”

6. She’d love to do I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!

Lucy has admitted she loves to challenge herself, and what better place to take yourself out of your comfort zone than the Australian jungle! Luckily the actress isn’t scared of insects, which will definitely help in the Buchtucker Trials. Apparently she often rescues spiders and even likes to give them pet names!

 7. She has a phobia of sick!

While her potential trip to the I’m A Celeb jungle was looking so promising, one thing that Lucy has admitted might hold her back if she was to join the show one day would be her phobia of sick. She told amagazine.co.uk: “I think I could do the eating challenges, but I couldn’t drink something blended up together because I have a phobia of sick, and that looks like sick!

Coronation Street continues on ITV.
