Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley has revealed she would love her screen alter ego Eva Price to find love with Dr Carter, after her recent string of romantic disasters.
Having had her heart broken by Nick Tilsley, Corrie viewers also saw her hopes for happiness with rich older man Eric (Timothy West) scuppered by his sudden death.
And Catherine said she does not think anybody else could possibly make Eva happy - except for GP Matt Carter (Oliver Mellor).
"Maybe Dr Carter is an option?" the actress suggested. "She needs someone intelligent and a little bit older."
Catherine added that she has loved working with co-star Sue Johnston, who plays Eva's grandmother Gloria.
"I adore Sue. Its so amazing to work with an actress I've admired for so many years," she revealed.
"She has brought a new dynamic to the Rovers, I love the character of Gloria. Sue is one of the nicest people I know. Such a sweetie."
