Coronation Street is only on three times next week – and here’s why!

You'll need to be on the ball to make sure you don't miss Corrie next week!

Coronation Street fans tuning in expecting their normal six episodes from Weatherfield next week are in for a shock because the soap will only be shown three times!

And fans will have to be really on the ball as Coronation Street is also on some different nights to when it’s usually on.

In a normal week Coronation Street is shown on Mondays (7.30pm and 8.30pm), Wednesdays (7.30pm and 8.30pm), and Fridays (7.30pm and 8.30pm).

But next week there are simply three one-hour specials on Tuesday 19th June at 8.00pm, Thursday 21st June at 8.00pm and Friday 22nd June at 8.00pm.

The schedule craziness has been created by the football World Cup. ITV is having to make space in the schedules to show a string of matches including Iran v Spain on Wednesday 20th June, which takes out a huge chunk of Wednesday evening.

Also because of the football, EastEnders will be shown at 9.10pm this Friday (15th June), one of the latest times in its history, as the BBC show Portugal v Spain earlier in the night.

With several weeks of World Cup action coming up it’s likely that there will be lots of schedule changes.

So, watch this space to make sure you don’t end up missing your favourite soap!
