Corrie's Ben Price: ‘I’m not star-struck… maybe I should be?’ (VIDEO)

After chatting to Coronation Street star Ben Price, What’s on TV have decided he was the most laidback person on the BAFTA TV red carpet...

Speaking about the star-studded event, with guests including Justin Timberlake, Josh Hartnett and Tom Hiddleston, Ben laughed: “Maybe I should be [star-struck], but I’m not! It’s a nice night to see people you haven’t seen in a long time, and old friends."

Soaking up the atmosphere on London’s Southbank, Ben, who plays stressed businessman Nick Tilsley in the soap, said: “There’s some amazing television on at the moment, it’s nice to celebrate that.”

He was also full of praise for Coronation Street’s exiting producer, Stuart Blackburn, and new producer Kate Oates: “Kate has done a great job on Emmerdale, so it’s exciting. Stuart Blackburn did a great job with Corrie and it’s exciting we’ve got another impetus coming in.

“It’s great coming to the BAFTAs and seeing people you’ve not seen for a long time and celebrate the show.”

Although Coronation Street missed out on winning the Soap & Continuing Drama this year somehow, we doubt Ben’s overly bothered…
