Coronation Street's Bruno Langley is thrilled to be back in Weatherfield, but reveals to Soaplife that Todd’s not so happy - and neither is Jason... It's been four years since cutie Todd has been in the Street and he's lost none of his appeal. The bad news is that right now he's back for one night only in Coronation Street’s Easter Sunday special. But Bruno doesn't rule out a longer return. "There's always space for a character like Todd because his family is still there. It's just whether it fits into place for everyone and whether there's a storyline," he tells Soaplife. So, how does it feel to be back? "I've been doing theatre for four years and it's great to be back doing TV. I love working with Sue Cleaver [Eileen] and Ryan Thomas [Jason]. I love it when the Grimshaw family are together." You were touring with the stage play Calendar Girls when the filming came up. How did you fit it in? "The show was in Leeds when I was filming with Corrie so it worked really well. But in the play I'm two different characters so it meant I was playing three characters at the same time... with three different accents!" How has life been for Todd since we last saw him? "He's got a new boyfriend, he straightens his hair now and he's been mixing with some well-to-do people. I think going to live somewhere like London after growing up on Coronation Street would have changed him." What does he think his rich new fella Jools will make of Weatherfield? "He's worried about bringing Jools back to the two-up, two-down house he grew up in. But he starts to realise he's being snobbish." We knows he upsets Jason... "It's more he upsets his mum which upsets Jason. Todd is worrying what his boyfriend will think because his mum is quite common and you could say his brother is, too. In the end, though, the visit makes him realise that whatever his mum is she's his mum." What does Todd make of his brother Jason's girlfriend Rosie? "He pretty quickly realises that maybe they're well suited; Rosie's an idiot... but a beautiful idiot." Who have you missed most since leaving the Street? "I've missed chatting with everyone in the Green Room, especially Sue Cleaver and Helen Worth [Gail] and some of the older cast members. They've got so much experience yet they're so grounded." We hear your girlfriend Victoria is a Coronation Street fan. Do you still watch it? "It's hard when you're working in theatre, especially when you've got a child. Our son Fred's nearly four now, but I try to catch up with it whenever I can."
