Ex-Coronation Street actress Kate Ford said she misses appearing on the soap and often talks to her former co-stars. Talking exclusively to www.whatsontv.co.uk at The TV Times Christmas Carols with the Stars concert, Kate said: "When I watch Corrie I sometimes miss it, but that's normal – I was there for five years so it was a really big part of my life." Kate, who quit playing Tracy Barlow on Coronation Street in 2007, said she's stayed in touch with her girlfriends from the show and they have been swapping tips on motherhood. "I'm still in touch with Julie Haworth, she's just had a baby so we have lots to talk about, and Tina O'Brien, she's a new mum, Samia (Smith) is a lovely girl and a really good friend of mine," said Kate. But the actress said that although she misses acting she has no plans to return to the soap. "At times I watch it and go 'awwww', but it's nice to have done it and be doing different things," she added.
