Keith Duffy has confirmed he will be returning to Coronation Street in September. The Boyzone star, who plays Rovers barman Ciaran McCarthy, has been on tour with the band while Kym Marsh, who plays his girlfriend Michelle Connor has been off on maternity leave. Keith told Loose Women: "I'm back up in Manchester, please God if they give me a job back, in September - the 15th of September. "Kym Marsh, who's obviously Ciaran's partner on the screen, is off on maternity leave with her lovely little baby Polly at the moment. I think the two of us will return together." Ciaran and Michelle left the Street shortly after finding romance, when Michelle got a job on a cruise. Kym, 34, gave birth to baby daughter Polly seven weeks early, on March 23. She wrote in her New! magazine column this week: "Our darling little Polly is doing very well. She's still in hospital and we don't know exactly how long she will have to stay for yet, but she's definitely a fighter! I'm at the hospital every day from first thing in the morning until around 10pm every night. "It's a lovely time for all of us and, of course, the children are excited about having a baby sister, but especially David - which you might not expect from a boy of nearly 16! "Jamie [Lomas] and I have had some lovely presents, including clothes that don't yet fit her as she's so tiny, but we've been assured she'll grow quickly."
