Dr Hilary Jones, who was eliminated from ITV1's Dancing on Ice on Sunday night, has described fellow celebrity skater Danny Young as being like 'an adopted son'. GMTV's resident medic found himself in the skate-off with the former Coronation Street actor - and all five judges voted unanimously to save Danny. Speaking to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning on Monday, Dr Hilary said: "Danny was like an adopted son to me, he's a lovely guy - it would've been an absolute travesty if he'd gone out and not me. "I wished him all the best and he said nice things to me and we'll keep in touch. In fact, I'll keep in touch with most of the guys and girls because the rapport backstage was fantastic. We all got on really well, genuinely and sincerely." Dr Hilary added that he was surprised to see Danny in the skate-off 'because he's got the passion, athleticism and will to win' but he tipped former Emmerdale actress Hayley Tamaddon to win the entire show. He said: "I think Hayley's going to take a hell of a lot of catching - I think she's so far and away the favourite that she'll be tough to beat."
