Matt Lapinskas calls Brianne his 'soul mate'

Matt Lapinskas has called his Dancing On Ice partner Brianne Delcourt his 'soul mate'.

The ex-EastEnders actor and his co-star Shona McGarty split after he began skating with Brianne on the ITV show, but Shona has insisted the break-up had nothing to do with Matt joining the show.

Now he has tweeted another message that has fuelled rumours he and Brianne have become a couple.

Matt, 24, tweeted: "Great day in London! Counting days minutes and seconds till my soul mate gets here!! So excited! @BrianneTV xxx."

The pair seem to have got closer even though Brianne is at home in Canada visiting family.

Matt, who played Anthony Moon in EastEnders, and skater Brianne have been tweeting each other animal pictures with 'I miss you' messages and Matt recently retweeted a message from Brianne saying: "I love my bubba!!! That's all..."

Brianne also tweeted: "@mattylapinskas wishing my bubba all the luck in the world for tomorrow! #SmashItToPieces #TeamCanada. Xxxxxxxxx" which she later explained was about an audition he was going to.

Matt has previously talked about his break up with Shona, saying: "I would have still done the show even though it's cost me my relationship. It's the show I wanted to do.

"People break up every day and it's one of those things that came to an end. Me and Shona know the ins and outs of our relationship and that's the way it's going to stay."
