EastEnders' Cathy: Lola splits up Julie and Billy
EastEnders' Cathy Murphy has revealed granddaughter Lola is set to split Julie Perkins and Billy Mitchell up. Cathy will be leaving Albert Square after eight months of playing feisty stall worker Julie Perkins, and the arrival of Lola Pearce, played by Danielle Harold, is set to be the catalyst. The actress told Inside Soap: "Billy sees Lola as a new start - but Julie's loss in all of this is much stronger, and he just can't understand that. "Billy and Julie love each other very much, but Lola does, and will, come between them. "She's going to do her best to split them up, so there will come a point when Billy really does have to make a choice..." Julie and Billy were brought up in care together and had a son who was put up for adoption. After searching for their long-lost son, Dan Pearce, they were devastated to learn he had died. But Dan had a daughter, and their search brings tearaway teen Lola into their lives. Click here to watch whatsontv.co.uk's weekly soaps video preview, the Soap Scoop
