Deano reckons he can take Sean in EastEnders, but actor Matt Di Angelo doesn’t fancy his chances! We hear Deano threatens Sean... That’s brave! "Yes and no. He tells Sean one day someone will wipe that smug grin off his face but he’s not necessarily saying it will be him! What he’s trying to say is ‘What goes around, comes around'." What does Sean do to set him off? "Really just being Sean is enough! But Deano’s still smarting from the whole GI Joe thing that Sean did when he found Deano with Stacey. He’s kind of had it in for him ever since." How does it come to a head? "It’s the whole Chelsea, Sean, Carly thing. Deano’s kind of in the middle with Chelsea and Carly. He thinks Sean’s a rat for cheating on Chelsea and he’s not exactly happy about him dating Carly. So when Sean winds up Chelsea in the Vic, Deano warns him to back off." What does Sean do? "He mugs Deano up and tries to scare him, but it doesn’t really work. Deano’s not afraid of a fight – he’s already squared up to Grant Mitchell don’t forget." Do you think he will one day go for Sean, then? "I think he might throw a glass at him from about 100 metres. Or if he was drunk then yes he might take him on! But Deano knows Sean is a bit dangerous and he’s not going to take risks unless he really has to." Does he feel the need to protect Carly from Sean? "He doesn’t like the fact Carly is involved with him because he thinks Sean’s bad news. But Carly is Deano’s big sister and he’s never felt the need to protect her." Is he on her side though when she wants to know about their real dad? "No, as far as he’s concerned Kevin is his dad. Also he hates that it’s just another thing for Carly and Shirley to row about." When will Deano give up on Shirley? "I don’t think he will. He loves her. He’s a bit like somebody who is madly in love with somebody who doesn’t love them back. He keeps getting rejected, he makes out that he wants nothing more to do with Shirley, but he always comes back for more." What’s in store for Deano? "Lots more disagreements with Shirley and a growing resentment towards Sean." Would you like to do a fight scene with Rob Kazinsky who plays Sean? "Rob and I are mates and there’s already a lot of arm-wrestling and muscle flexing that goes on between us. We play pool and we’re quite competitive so we’d really enjoy an onscreen fight. I don’t fancy Deano’s chances though!"
