EastEnders fans fuming at sound glitch during episode climax

EastEnders viewers are fuming after a technical glitch resulted in a loss of sound at the climax of Thursday’s episode.

The set-up was a confrontation between Ronnie Mitchell (Samantha Womack) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).

The two ladies were having a not-very-friendly chat about Albert Square baddie Dean Wicks; the man who raped Linda and is her brother-in-law, to boot.

Little wonder fans lost it when the sound cut out during their talk. Could there be a more tense moment for a technical fail?

Twitter was soon awash with EastEnders viewers venting.

Some demanded a TV licence refund

No mention of the sound loss during #EastEnders? I want my TV licence money back.

Others wondered if they were at fault

Did anyone notice the sound go in EastEnders?
