EastEnders has a gruesome Halloween lined up in a special, hour-long episode - so who should be running scared in Albert Square?

“The Halloween episode kicks off a lot of big stories, including stuff for Sharon [Letitia Dean], Phil [Steve McFadden], Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Martin [James Bye],” reveals Enders’ boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins. “They’re going to be the people to watch over the next few months.

“Dean [Matt Di Angelo] is also circling - it’s worth watching the Carters.

“Bobby Beale [Elliot Carrington], too. There’s more to come with Bobby…”

So, Phil definitely should be running scared. But, as the coming week’s episodes will reveal, he can’t actually run anywhere because Gavin Sullivan (Paul Nicholas) has already crippled him and left him completely traumatised. Exactly what did Gavin do to Phil? Something too horrendous for Phil to even talk about…

We know Dean has got a target on his back. It has been there since he raped Linda (Kellie Bright) a year ago, but this Halloween it looks like Mick (Danny Dyer) could finally got Dean in his sights…

And there could also be Halloween horror in store for Shabnam (Rakhee Thakrar) and Kush (Davood Ghadami)… Is Stacey going to tell Kush he’s the father of her baby? That really would be horrific news for the couple, who are still grieving the loss of their son. It would be a shocker for Martin (James Bye), too.

But it’s the Mitchells who face the most scary Halloween. It seems that what Gavin did to Phil is just the start of his bloodbath… Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Ben, Jay (Jamie Borthwick) - they're all in terrible danger.

“It’s bad, it’s really bad,” says Harry Reid, who plays Ben. “It’s potentially life-chaning for the Square and the Mitchell family. Viewers will be shocked.”

EastEnders continues on BBC1, Monday, October 26, 8.00pm. The Halloween horror episode is on BBC1, Friday, October 30, 7.30-8.30pm.
