Lola to leave Albert Square… But will she go in a cab - or a coffin?

EastEnders have announced that Danielle Harold, who plays Lola, will be leaving the soap.

So, you know that job at Blades that Lola and new boy Paul Coker (Jonny Labey) are currently competing for?

Well, we reckon this means the job will go to Paul - and that means Ben (Harry Reid) will be getting his hair cut a lot more often…

And Lola? Well, if she’s not going to be living in Albert Square much longer, that could mean that Lola might not be living much longer anywhere…

Danielle, who has played Billy's (Perry Fenwick) granddaughter for four years, has been involved in many gripping storylines, including becoming pregnant at the age of 16 by distant cousin Ben, plus her custody battle with Phil for daughter Lexi.

“I’ve had the most amazing time at EastEnders having been involved in some exciting storylines - including giving birth in a live scene!” said Danielle. “I’ll miss everyone here and am looking forward to the future.”

EastEnders executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins said: “We all love Danielle and she and Lola have been a big part of EastEnders over the past four years. Danielle is a fantastic actress and I genuinely look forward to seeing her shine in future roles away from the Square.”

Dominic gave no clue as to how Lola will exit but, if she is killed off, that could leave Ben with three-year-old Lexi - or Phil (Steve McFadden) and Sharon (Letitia Dean)… Or Billy.

The future doesn’t look bright for little Lexi…
