EastEnders love rat Max Branning does not get off lightly when Phil Mitchell finds out about his affair with Lucy Beale.

Abi Branning (Lorna Fitzgerald) had been keeping her father’s affair with Lucy a secret ever since she was found dead last year.

But after the police recently arrested Abi’s boyfriend Ben Mitchell, she has come forward with her evidence.

Convinced that Max (Jake Wood) must have killed Lucy and furious that his son has taken the rap for her murder, Phil (Steve McFadden) attacks Max in Albert Square.

Their confrontation screens on EastEnders tonight (July 24) on BBC One.
