Emmerdale fans will be pleased to hear that village bad boy Cain Dingle is making a dramatic return to the ITV1 soap. Actor Jeff Hordley will be back on our screens in April, and is soon making his mark in the village. With his daughter Debbie caught up in a bitter custody battle for her daughter Sarah, and the King brothers wanting revenge for taking their cash, Cain's return definitely receives a mixed reaction from the locals. Viewers saw Cain flee the village in September 2006 after a successful kidnap and extortion plot involving Tom and Sadie King. He sends a hot-shot solicitor to the village to secure Debbie's release from prison - but his plans to be reunited with his daughter are thwarted when he is arrested on his way back into the country. Jeff said: "I am really looking forward to returning to Emmerdale. The storylines that lead to Cain’s return are in keeping with his character and a perfect way to bring him back to the heart of the Dingle clan where he belongs." Anita Turner, series producer, said: "I'm delighted to welcome Jeff back to the show. This storyline presented the exciting opportunity in which to reintroduce Cain. "Debbie will be going through hell in the next few months and it's such a boost to have her dad fighting alongside her." Get all the latest soap gossip delivered straight to your door.
