Danny Miller has revealed he organised a charity football match in memory of Gavin Blyth to try and repay all the late Emmerdale producer had done for him. The 20-year-old actor, who has scooped a string of awards for playing troubled gay teenager Aaron Livesy, wanted to find a special way to pay tribute to Gavin, who died last year following a short illness. Danny told Inside Soap magazine: "I wanted to do something in Gavin's memory, and this is my way of giving back to a man who did so much for me. He was highly thought of across the industry." He has arranged for the Emmerdale lads to take on the Coronation Street lads in a football match to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Research, at the Manchester Regional Arena on Saturday, February 19 at 1pm. Fans are invited to come and cheer on the teams and all donations will go to the charity. Danny said: "There are so many people dedicating their time to ensure we raise as much money as possible in memory of Gavin and for a great cause." He will be joined on the Emmerdale team by Mark Charnock, James Sutton, Marc Silcock, Adam Thomas, James Hooton, Tom Lister and Lyndon Ogbourne. The Coronation Street team is made up of Ryan Thomas, Graeme Hawley, Ben Price, Jack P Shepherd, Michael Le Vell, Andrew Whyment and Alan Halsall.
