Emmerdale's Charley Webb says her character Debbie Dingle could be on the verge of a nervous breakdown because of her obsession with sending her aunt to prison. The stay-at-home mum is set to testify against Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) in the Carl King murder trial, after her aunt had an affair with Cameron Murray (Dominic Power). The actress explained that Debbie is driven by her emotions, saying: "She's still really bitter towards Chas. She can't believe it - she's in complete shock because Chas was her best friend and her auntie. It's the ultimate betrayal." Charley said that sending Chas down would make Debbie feel better. "It's massive revenge, but I think she feels so hurt and betrayed. She still loves her, but she can't bring herself to see her every day. The thought of being reminded of it is just too much for her," she continued. "She's absolutely determined. I think Debbie is slightly on the edge of a nervous breakdown - she's acting so neurotically about some things and she's so determined about sending Chas down and ruining her life." The 24-year-old revealed that Debbie still misses Cameron, who is rumoured to kill again this Christmas. "She knows that Cameron and Debbie aren't together any more, but she can't understand why she can't see him as much. She wants him to be there because he's a massive part of her life. She's still madly in love with him and can't have him," she added.
