Emmerdale's Dominic: 'The fans love a bad boy!'

Emmerdale star Dominic Power has revealed that he has won some new fans, much to his surprise. The actor has been enjoying the opportunity to explore Cameron Murray's villainous side, following his murder of Carl King (Tom Lister), and former romances with Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) and her aunt Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter). "He's not a popular guy at the moment - however, he's also got a load of new fans. I think there must be a massive portion of Emmerdale fans who like a bad boy," he told Emmerdale's official website. "After the 40th, Carl King fans are devastated and want Cameron dead. Hardcore Emmerdale-ists are upset about the whole thing and upset about what he's done to Debbie and Chas." Dominic admitted he likes showing the different facets of Cameron's personality and indulging in his bad-boy side with Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain Dingle. "Jeff Hordley and I have had a few tussles. That's been good fun to play. It's been quite intense. I think the audience are going to enjoy watching Cameron get his comeuppance," he revealed. "You play one character when you're with Debbie, pretending that everything's fine, you play another when you're cheating and being with Chas, and then you're another character when you're murdering somebody. There's so much there which is great." But he joked about having had enough, saying: "We're nine months into this intense, fairly emotional storyline with no signs of letting up yet, so help...!"
