Emmerdale's Jason Merrells has revealed that his alter ego Declan Macey wants his ex-wife back. Ella Hart, played by Corrinne Wicks, arrives in the village as the new buyer of Home Farm following the demise of the Wylde family. In an interview with Emmerdale's official website, Jason said: "Does Declan want Ella back? I think he does, but he doesn't recognise that himself at first. "He's still got his armour up. He's just had this quite unnerving relationship with what turned out to be a murderess, so he's still reeling from that. "And when she first appears he's still in battle mode and wants everything straightforwardly simple and she's confusing things." He added that Ella knows how to wind him up, but that Declan 'falls under her spell quite quickly'. Ella and Declan move into Home Farm along with daughter Mia (Sapphire Elia) and Declan's dad Dermot (Frank Kelly).
