Emmerdale’s Lyndon Ogbourne reveals to Soaplife how nasty Nathan’s conned out of Home Farm... It has been a long time coming, but Nathan Wylde gets what he deserves when Declan buys his shares in Home Farm without Nathan even knowing. How does Declan get one over on Nathan? With Natasha in prison and Maisie and Will keeping their distance, Nathan's downfall was inevitable - he's not nearly as clever as he thinks he is. With all that in mind, we talked to Lyndon about exactly how Nathan falls flat on his face... Nathan has a masterplan for himself, Maisie and Will. What is it? "To sell the Wylde stake in Home Farm and move to London. He wants to get out of the village as quickly as he can. However, he doesn't want to sell to Declan. He hates Declan and Declan hates him. Nathan can't bear the thought of Declan owning Home Farm outright." Does he find another buyer? "Yes - a high-flying business woman who's been based in Singapore." We've heard that Nathan takes a shine to the buyer... "They seem to get on very well - they’re very flirty with each other. Nathan thinks he's on to a winner. When Declan and this woman seem to take an instant dislike to each other, it's like the cherry on the cake for Nathan." How does Nathan react when she lowers her original offer for the Farm? "He thinks she's playing hardball and accepts her lower offer. He doesn't really have much choice as he's desperate to leave the village. He has no idea that the rug's about to be pulled from under him." The buyer is Declan’s ex-wife. How does Nathan find out? "She signs the contract and then Nathan is stunned when she kisses Declan. Nathan can't believe his eyes but then Declan says words to the effect of 'Thanks for that, you’ve been had!' and introduces the buyer as his ex, Ella. Nathan's completely deflated and is convinced that everyone's laughing at him. He just wants to get away and start his new life." How do you feel about his exit? "I'm very happy about it. I'm pleased he's not being killed off. He's the kind of character you love to hate. It's exciting to think that he could be back at some point in the future. I'm sure he'd be full of vengeance which would be very exciting to play."
