Bruce Willis and Edward Norton star in this delightfully quirky story of young love.

Director and co-writer Wes Anderson's comedy is set in the summer of 1965 on an island off the coast of New England. It's a highly unusual story in which two lonely, smart, misunderstood 12-year-olds - unpopular boy scout Sam (Jared Gilman) and his pen-pal Suzy (Kara Hayward) - run away together.

The island's dysfunctional inhabitants, including chain-smoking scoutmaster Norton, kindly local police chief Willis and Suzy's unhappy parents Bill Murray and Frances McDormand, join the quest to track them down.

Anderson films all this in a hyper-stylised, deliberately artificial manner that draws the viewer right into the movie's world, while his handling of the children's feelings and emotional lives has real heart.
