A case close to home for Diane

Sergeant Stone and Pc Diane Noble call round to Diane's neighbour Steve Myatt's house where they find him unconscious having been hit with an iron. In hospital, Steve admits that his wife Angela hit him with the iron during a row, but says he doesn't want to press charges. Pcs Sally Armstrong and Emma Keane find a frightened Angela with a burn mark on her arm and suspect Steve of abuse. But it turns out that Angela is self-harming after being blackmailed by neighbour Alun Thomas and, realising how involved Diane is with the case, Stone vows to do all he can to charge Alun.
