Seeking out her mother, Amber pours her heart out about feeling her place as the only daughter has been usurped by Paige. After being urged by Joshua to make amends with Paige, Amber finds her exercising and offers to help. It looks like a friendship is on the cards, until Paige accidently punches Amber in the face...
Joshua's attempts to secretly help Chris are derailed when he has an accident. When Brennan rushes him to hospital, Josh asks him to support a skateboarding cover story - he doesn't want anyone to know he's helping Chris. Later, Nate tells Josh nothing can undo the punch and he should just leave Chris alone.
Matt tells Terese he read Lauren's journal too, and if Terese had read more she'd realise Lauren went on to say that she wouldn't swap what she had now with Matt for Brad for anything. Matt delivers a home truth to Terese - she can't keep blaming Lauren for it because she is not in love with Brad.
