With more sparkle and glitter than a tree covered in fairy lights, Team CBeebies’ annual Christmas show is always a highlight of the festive schedule for the young, and young at heart.

This year’s production, filmed last month at Leicester’s Curve Theatre, is a beautiful adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairy tale as we follow ordinary villager Gerda’s (Magic Door favourite Cat Sandion) perilous quest to rescue her friend Kai (Get Well Soon’s Dr Ranj Singh) from the clutches of the ice maiden (Let’s Play’s Rebecca Keatley) in the frozen North.

Look out, too, for the scene-stealing Justin Fletcher (aka Mr Tumble), who we guarantee will get you singing! A true delight.
