Dreyfuss makes Phil a tempting offer

Doug Harrison reports that his elderly mother Rose, who has Alzheimers, has disappeared with his five-month-old granddaughter. The baby’s mother, Sandy, admits Rose may have been upset over an argument Sandy had with Doug the night before about Danny Hegarty, the baby’s father. Danny is applying for custody of the baby but swears he has nothing to do with the disappearance. Hopes are soon raised when Rose is spotted but Reg and Tony discover the bundle in her arms is only an old coat. The race is on to find the baby before it's too late… Louis Dreyfuss again offers DS Phil Hunter the chance to become his private detective. Although Phil turns his offer down he is intrigued when he sees Monica talking to drug-dealer Joe Brennan. Monica confesses to Phil that Joe is blackmailing her about her past job; attracting rich people to play dodgy poker games and she is terrified that Dreyfuss will find out. Dreyfuss admits he knew about her past all along. Again, he makes Phil a tempting offer… Finally fed up with working with Sergeant Callum Stone, PC Dan Casper leaves Sun Hill to start a new life in sunny Ibiza...
