Lenny Henry talks to John Bishop about how his entire career was driven by the desire for central heating. Lenny's mother, who came to the UK first from Jamaica and worked three jobs to pay for her husband and children to join her, is never far from his thoughts.
He recalls how he first started out performing at working men's clubs when he was just 16, before going on to become part of the alternative comedy scene with Dawn French, Adrian Edmondson and Jennifer Saunders and founding Comic Relief with Richard Curtis in 1985.
