Paul O'Grady heads to India to meet rescue animals in a new two-part series
Paul O’Grady is in India to experience life as a rescue-animal keeper.
He may be used to looking after residents of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, but giving an obese elephant a shower, massaging a baby monkey, bottle-feeding a baby rhino and helping potty-train another – that's a whole different ball game! In one way, Paul is in heaven as the animals are beautiful and the scenery gorgeous.
But there's also a heartbreaking side to this series as he learns of the cruelty faced by so many of these magnificent beasts.
It affects Paul more than ever, especially one elephant called Mohan, whose story will break the hardest of hearts.
