Nigel’s adventures continue in Turkey, where he samples its varied cuisine and diverse culture.

In Istanbul, Nigel contrasts the fancy food of a luxury hotel, with lunch at a Lokanta – a café – where homely food for local workers is served.

This episode is all about that divide in Turkey and the contrast between rapid modernisation and a more traditional way of life.

Nigel visits a farm in Anatolia where the simple food hasn’t changed for centuries.

He also hangs out with some fearless honey hunters, picks tea high up in the mountains and discovers how locals who live near the Georgian border prepare for a long and harsh winter.
