Olympic champ Nicola Adams helps Kacey in the boxing ring

There's a touch of star magic this week at Waterloo Road, when a visit from boxing champion Nicola Adams manages to restore Kacey Barry’s confidence. She's starting to flounder as the whole school, and her family, begin to raise funds for her boxing scholarship.

When Nikki reveals that Nicola will be coming to the school, Kacey is immediately nervous and starts to really feel the pressure. But soon after meeting Nicola, who's got loads of great advice for Kacey, her faith in her capabilities is restored. But her boxing scholarship could hang in the balance when jealous brother Barry eyes up her funds and hatching his own plans for the money…

Plus, there's a new supply teacher at the school this week. Frankie McGregor has a very heavy-handed approach to the job, which instantly divides Christine and Simon. Yet Sue is overjoyed to find an excuse to get out of doing her work while Frankie keeps her classes under control.

Plus, twins Lenny and Lisa start to grow apart, as Lisa chooses Shaznay and her girl gang over spending time with her brother. When Frankie offers to take lonely Lenny fishing, Lenny jumps at the chance. But panic soon ensues at the school when the truth about Frankie is revealed. It's revealed that the teacher is not all that he seems, and the pair can't be found…
