So how is Sandi Toksvig doing in her role as the new QI host? Very well, on the evidence so far – it feels as if she's been doing this for ages, not just a handful of shows.

This is due in part to her bringing her own relaxed style (including her determination to squeeze in random Scandinavian facts, or randi Scandis, each week), plus she already has a great rapport with Alan Davies.

Tonight they're joined by Jeremy Clarkson, Sara Pascoe and Jason Manford. A cardigan-clad Clarkson keeps forgetting the questions, blaming deafness.
