Noomi Rapace's arachnophobic single mum is abducted by members of a mysterious cult. She is subjected to a series of strange, fear-inducing tests in a labyrinthine medical facility and, understandably, is soon gibbering in terror.

However, scares are in shorter supply for the viewer in this underwhelming horror thriller.

Rapace's heroine spends far too long strapped to a trolley while the film drip feeds hints of the experimenters' sinister goals and, although the pace picks up in the final third, the story's ultimate pay-off is disappointing.
