Chan is a stubborn Hong Kong cop in LA on the trail of the crime lord who's kidnapped the Chinese consul's daughter and Tucker is the long-suffering local cop who helps him out.

The star teaming's a winner and there's great action-packed mayhem throughout with lightning kung fu fights, personable performances and a set of riotous outtakes at the end.

Chan and Tucker brought their entertaining mismatched pairing to two further sequels.
