Having fallen out of his wheelchair, Jack doesn't have the strength to haul himself up off the floor. Just as he's yelling out in frustration, Sam turns up to help, and wheels him to the wharf to cheer him up. While Sam's buying ice creams, Jack learns from her son Rory that Sam had an abusive ex-boyfriend. But when Jack questions Sam about it, she clams up, and drops Jack back home before rushing off. Later, she calls Jack to tell him she's referring him to another physio, leaving Jack stunned. Peter is distracted as Leah attempts to discover the identity of his mystery crush while Cassie is concerned by Amanda's snappy mood and urges Macca to talk to her to find out what's going on. Amanda eventually reveals that she's pining for Peter and is frustrated she can't have him. Later, Cassie fills Belle in on Amanda's strange mood and encourages her to visit her mum. Belle eventually visits Amanda, but things go wrong and Belle ends up storming off, telling an upset Amanda that she'll never forgive her. Peter turns up at Amanda's with some police paperwork, only to find Amanda crying hysterically in the wake of Belle's visit.
