Three brave families swap urban living for the farming life in a new BBC2 reality series presented by Kate Humble and Gareth Wyn Jones
Three brave families swap urban living for the farming life in a new BBC2 reality series presented by Kate Humble and Gareth Wyn Jones.
How hard is it to be a 21st-century farmer?
In this entertaining and informative series (first shown on BBC1 Wales), Kate Humble and Gareth Wyn Jones oversee proceedings as three urban families – the Burtons, the McNultys and the Morgans – try the farming life as they up sticks to spend three weeks living and working on Gareth’s Snowdonia farm.
While herding sheep is tricky for the novices, some discover a surprising talent for shearing, but choosing which animals to send to market is distressing for veggie mum Sarah Burton.
But who’ll impress Gareth and Kate the most and receive their weekly prize of a shepherd’s crook?
Continues Thursday.

Here at TVT HQ we are in the privileged position of selecting the best programmes from across all the channels and streaming platforms. My career began with a postgraduate degree in periodical journalism (ahem, yes old school!) in 1991 and I’ve worked in TV media since 2000.
