Comedian Lucy Beaumont visits Hull, which was recently named the UK City of Culture 2017
Last year, Spencer Tunick put Hull on the cultural map with his mass nude photograph, Sea of Hull. It’s currently on display at Ferens Art Gallery in the city as part of Hull’s year-long celebration as the UK City of Culture 2017.
Comedian Lucy Beaumont visits the gallery, which will play host to the Turner Prize, looks at the cultural highlights of the year, and considers the impact it might have on her home town.
Lucy explores the impact of Hull resident the poet Philip Larkin on the city and talks to Maureen Lipman, writer Richard Bean and performance artist Cosey Fanni Tutti – all of whom were born in the city
