Emma Rigby has admitted that she delayed her Hollyoaks exit date - to guarantee getting a better final storyline. The actress will now be staying on the Channel 4 soap until December - with her last scenes due on screen in February - after her exit was initially meant to be shown in June. "I am glad I have stayed - it was just the storylines, the idea that if I stay I'll probably get a better exit," said Emma, who plays Hannah Ashworth. She continued: "Because there were so many people leaving the show at the time that I was due to leave, the storylines were a bit scarce. "If I stayed I'd probably get a better exit, so that's nicer." But Emma confessed she was looking forward to new challenges ahead. "I would love to do some drama, some theatre and hopefully branch into film just get as much experience," she said. "I like the idea of trying to play as many different characters as possible and maybe a bit of musical theatre."
