Hollyoaks' McQueen family matriarch is set to make her return to the village when actress Nicole Barber-Lane rejoins the Channel 4 soap.

Nicole bowed out of the show last summer when Myra faked her own death, but returned for a one-off episode at the beginning of the year and has now been confirmed to be returning for a longer run.

According to Digital Spy, Myra's comeback will link in with the return of her niece, Theresa McQueen (Jorgie Porter), who's in prison on remand for the murder of Calvin Valentine.

The storyline is thought to involve the run-up to Theresa's trial which could include some big twists.

Myra faked her death after being shot by Dr Paul Browning and has been hiding out in Spain with daughter Jacqui (Claire Cooper), who also left Hollyoaks last year.
