Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davis has said her screen alter ego Sinead O'Connor is facing the toughest decision of her life, as she decides whether or not to have an abortion. The 19-year-old, who plays the pregnant student, told Inside Soap magazine that the character was in two minds about whether or not to terminate her pregnancy, particularly when her stepmum Diane and boyfriend Bart try to convince her otherwise and the latter vows to change his ways. "Sinead wants to make something of her future, and feels she's too young to be a mum just yet. She's offered a great opportunity to study to be a vet, and doesn't want to throw it away," Stephanie said. "Diane and Bart rush to the clinic to talk to Sinead. Bart even promises her that he'll stop smoking cannabis and be a good dad. But neither of them is taking into consideration the fact that Sinead wants to have a career." Stephanie also revealed that Sinead is keeping quiet about the identity of the baby's father, since she is not compltely sure it is Bart, played by actor Jonny Clarke. "It's a question of whether Sinead goes through with it or keeps the baby. It's a massive decision for her," she teased.
