Home and Away is taking a three-week break from Channel 5 in May

Home and Away is taking an unexpected three-week break from Channel 5 in early May.

The Aussie soap usually breaks for three weeks in the summer, but will be off screen from May 2, returning to Channel 5 on May 26.

When it returns, Home and Away will feature episodes filmed in London late last year, which focus on the Braxton brothers, Heath and Brax, who've travelled to London in the hope of saving their relationships with Bianca and Ricky, who've just moved to the British capital.

The Home and Away UK episodes feature some of London's most iconic landmarks, like the Millennium Bridge, and include cameos from the likes of Nick Grimshaw.

As well, the younger Braxton brother Casey meets a new love interest, played by Fresh Meat's Hannah Britland, on a sightseeing tour.
