The five finalists in the Home & Away: Bay Reporter competition have been revealed. Channel 5 kicked off the search last month to find TV's hottest new presenter. The winner would get the chance to jet off to Sydney, Australia, with a Channel 5 film crew to present two fanzine shows from behind the scenes of the popular Aussie soap. Among those chosen are Steve Wright, a 28-year-old video producer from Plymouth and Ande Grey, a 27-year-old TV presenter and choreographer for BBC Northern Ireland. Tiffany Haynes, a 25-year-old actress, and Joanna Adeyinka-Burford, a 26-year-old primary school teaching assistant, both from London have also made the final five. At just 18, student Aaron Shefras from Fleet completes the line-up. Ande said: "The Bay Reporter opportunity is more than just a job. It's an amazing opportunity to advance my presenting career. And to do it in an environment like Australia - on the set of Home and Away, a show I've watched since childhood - it's just unbelievable! The Bay Reporter is my personal X Factor!" The public can now vote for their favourite via the Channel 5 YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/bayreporter. To find out more about the finalists and how to vote, go to channel5.com/homeandaway. Voting closes at midday on Friday May 27 with a Home & Away cast member announcing the winner on OK!TV later at 6.25pm.
